Reconstruction of TNDTA Feeder School – Strengthening Rural Education Infrastructure
At HECS, we believe that education is the foundation for a stronger, more sustainable society. As part of our CSR vision, we aim to bridge infrastructure gaps in underserved communities, ensuring children have access to a safe and supportive learning environment. In the financial year 2022–2023, we undertook a vital project: the reconstruction of the school building at TNDTA Feeder School in Arumuganeri, Thoothukudi District.
The school, which caters to students from rural and economically challenged backgrounds, had been functioning from a deteriorating building structure. The condition of the infrastructure posed serious safety concerns and was limiting the overall learning experience. Recognizing the urgent need for intervention, HECS stepped in to support the complete reconstruction of the building.
With a dedicated CSR fund, the school building was rebuilt with a focus on durability, ventilation, lighting, and accessibility. The reconstruction ensured a child-friendly, structurally sound space with classrooms that inspire learning and creativity. The project was implemented in coordination with local authorities and school management, ensuring that the design and execution aligned with the actual needs of the students and faculty.
This initiative has significantly enhanced the quality of education for the children in Arumuganeri. The newly constructed classrooms now provide a secure and comfortable environment that encourages regular attendance, improves student morale, and strengthens community trust in educational institutions.
HECS’s contribution to rebuilding the TNDTA Feeder School is a step forward in our broader goal of supporting inclusive growth through impactful CSR. By investing in infrastructure that directly supports education, we are investing in the future of rural India.
We remain committed to creating long-lasting, meaningful change in the communities we serve—one project, one opportunity, and one young mind at a time.
