1. AUTOMATION OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT PROCESS MODELLING AND DESIGN

At HECS, our R&D division is actively developing an Automated Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Design System to revolutionize wastewater treatment planning and execution. Traditional STP design relies on manual calculations and past experience, often leading to inefficiencies, increased costs, and suboptimal solutions. With the emergence of advanced treatment technologies such as Membrane Bioreactors (MBRs), Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBRs), and Sequential Batch Reactors (SBRs), selecting the right technology has become more complex.

 

Our automated STP design system simplifies this process by enabling engineers to input influent and effluent specifications, flow rates, temperature, and other key parameters. The system then generates optimized plant designs, determining tank dimensions, equipment requirements (mixers, pumps, blowers), instrumentation (flow meters, sensors, gauges), and necessary chemicals. By leveraging computational modeling, optimization techniques, and decision support systems, this innovation ensures accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across diverse projects.

 

This cutting-edge R&D initiative aims to create sustainable, energy-efficient, and regulatory-compliant STP designs that minimize manpower, reduce carbon footprints, and promote water reuse. By automating the design process, HECS is at the forefront of developing next-generation wastewater treatment solutions, enhancing environmental compliance, and supporting global sustainability goals.
