HECS at Kerala State Local Body Day Celebration Expo 2025
HECS proudly participated in the Kerala State Local Body Day Celebration Expo 2025, held in Guruvayoor, in association with the Suchitwa Mission, Government of Kerala. The event served as a platform for innovation, public engagement, and sustainable development, where HECS showcased its packaged wastewater treatment solutions specifically designed to meet the needs of Kerala’s local bodies and decentralized communities.

Empowering LSGDs with Wastewater Treatment Technology
As Kerala continues to face challenges in managing domestic and commercial sewage, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas, HECS offered its modular and compact packaged sewage treatment plants (PSTPs) as an effective solution. These systems are designed for low-footprint, decentralized wastewater treatment, making them ideal for:
● Panchayats and Local Self-Government Departments (LSGDs)
● Apartment complexes and gated communities
● Schools, hospitals, and religious institutions
● Small and medium-scale industries
HECS’s stall featured live demos, working models, and project case studies to help decision-makers understand how our technologies can integrate seamlessly into Kerala’s landscape.
Inauguration and Participation
The event was inaugurated by Sri. A.C. Moideen, MLA, drew wide participation from local body representatives, entrepreneurs, and technical officers. HECS’s presence attracted interest from stakeholders looking for sustainable sewage solutions, especially in areas lacking centralized sewage infrastructure.
Our technical team addressed real-time challenges faced by local administrations and offered insights into:
● Sewage treatment in space-constrained areas
● Water reuse for gardening and flushing
● Odor-free and silent operation of packaged plants
● Govt... project compliance and support under AMRUT & SBM
Valedictory Function with Kerala Leadership
The closing ceremony, attended by Chief Minister Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister for LSGD Sri. M.B. Rajesh emphasized the critical need for innovative and decentralized wastewater treatment models in Kerala. The leaders highlighted the importance of partnerships between the government and technology providers like HECS in achieving the state’s sanitation and sustainability goals.
HECS was appreciated for its commitment to developing site-specific, easy-to-operate packaged STPs that empower even small panchayats to manage their sewage responsibly.
Our Vision for Kerala’s Water Future
At HECS, we understand that Kerala’s lush environment demands eco-sensitive solutions. Our packaged STPs are:
● Designed to blend with natural and urban landscapes
● Fully automated with minimal maintenance
● Capable of water recycling for reuse in gardening, flushing, and cleaning
● Compliant with CPCB and Kerala PCB norms
By partnering with local governments, NGOs, and private developers, we aim to scale up sustainable wastewater management across the state.
Continued Support Through Technical Expertise
HECS isn’t just a technology provider — we are a long-term partner. We offer:
● Customized plant designs based on population and wastewater load
● On-site installation, training, and commissioning support
● Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs)
● Remote monitoring options for performance tracking
