HECS and SRMIST Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration

Chennai, India – Hubert Enviro Care Systems Limited (HECS), one of India's leading environmental engineering and sustainability solution providers, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Civil Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, marking a significant milestone in strengthening industry-academia collaboration.

The partnership has been established with a shared vision to drive innovation, advance environmental research, and develop sustainable engineering solutions that address today's evolving environmental challenges. By combining SRMIST's academic excellence with HECS's extensive industry expertise, the collaboration will create meaningful opportunities for research, knowledge exchange, and practical learning.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Ponnusamy S, Registrar, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), and Dr. J. R. Moses, Chief Executive Officer, Hubert Enviro Care Systems Limited (HECS). The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Leenus Martin, Dean, College of Engineering and Technology (CET), SRMIST, and Dr. P. T. Ravichandran, Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, SRMIST, along with esteemed faculty members.

Under this strategic collaboration, SRMIST and HECS will work together across several focus areas, including:
Environmental engineering research and innovation

  • Water and wastewater treatment technologies

  • Solid and hazardous waste management

  • Air and water quality monitoring

  • Sustainable construction materials
